What is SHRM? Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest HR professional society with more than 285,000 members. SHRM has many resources for every type of HR professional. Find out more on the website https://www.shrm.org/

I am a National SHRM member. Does that mean I am automatically a member of KHRA? No. SHRM local chapters are autonomous from national SHRM. You must join KHRA separately from joining SHRM, however, there is a discount to join KHRA if you are also a National SHRM member.

Why should I be a National SHRM member and a KHRA member? National SHRM membership gives you access to a wealth of knowledge online Membership in the local KHRA chapter provides local networking opportunities with other local HR professionals, volunteer leadership opportunities, mentoring opportunities and monthly educational opportunities in your own community.

Do I have to be a National SHRM member to be a KHRA member? No, you do not have to be a National SHRM member to be a KHRA member. However, there is a discount to join KHRA if you are also a National SHRM member.

Are there other chapters in Indiana? Yes there are other Indiana chapters. All Indiana chapters are unified by the Indiana State Council of SHRM - HR Indiana. More information can be found at http://hrindianashrm.org/

Do I have to renew my KHRA membership every year? Yes - all memberships are renewed in January each year. Please fill out the membership form and pay your dues as early as possible to retain your membership benefits every year.

Annual Membership Dues

SHRM National Member (January 1 - December 31) - $215.00 

Non-SHRM National Member (January 1 - December 31) - $250.00

Student Membership Free (Individuals attending an institution of higher learning on a full-time basis)

Mid-Year Membership (July 1 - December 31) - 50% of individual rate (Restricted to First-Time members only)

Corporate membership dues

2-5 Corporate Membership (January 1 - December 31) - 15% off individual rate

6-8 Corporate Membership (January 1 - December 31) - 20% off individual rate

9+ Corporate Membership (January 1 - December 31) - 25% off individual rate

Membership is valid for the calendar year, membership does not include the Annual Conference.
